There are five public bus lines, from local company GLOBAL, connecting the airport and the island's capital (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), line 1, 11, 5, 60 and 91. All five buses continue from the capital of the island to different tourist areas. The bus stop at the airport is at Ebene 1, Departures. Public bus line 1 is the line that operates the most during the day. Buses run every 20 minutes, approximately from 5:25am to 02:45am from Monday to Friday and from 5:30am to 02:45am on the weekends and holidays. Single fare is $2.73 (€2,30).

There is an official airport taxi service called socomtaxi. These licensed taxis are available on the Ground Level, Arrivals. There are two types of rates: Ordinary rate that applies from Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Special rate that applies from Monday to Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. Minimum fare for ordinary rate is $3.74 (€3,15), $1.31 (€1,10) per km and $17.87 (€15,05) waiting time and the special minimum fare is $4.10 (€3,45), $1.50 (€1,26) per km and $17.87 (€15,05) waiting time.
